ICT Brazil March 2012

March 5 – 8th, 2012

On March 5th, 2012, the offices of T-Systems do Brasil opened their doors to 20 enthusiastic, cheerful and brilliant sustainable entrepreneurs who, during 4 days, had the opportunity to hone their already existing skills for innovation, learn more about business modeling, shape –up their ideas and initiatives and collaborate with other practicing entrepreneurs in Brazil. This training, the third of SMART Start-up ICT, brought together young professionals from various Brazilian cities, some already with ongoing start-ups that were thoroughly analyzed and discussed with peers and other stakeholders.

The multi-stakeholder meeting was the workstudio on sustainable lifestyles, where SMART Start-up participants interacted with members of the civil society, entrepreneurs from the ICT and other sectors and policy makers. They participated in the co-creation of a vision for sustainable Brazil in 2050 and provided insights for engaging different sectors of society into practices for changing behaviors towards leading more sustainable lifestyles. During the match-making session, the SMART participants could also present their businesses to the wide audience and start partnerships with other organizations in the country.

“This was a very important opportunity to learn more about business models and modeling, sustainable entrepreneurial activities and join all this knowledge with sustainability-related activities. was even better is that we could apply what we learnt, and share our experience with all kind of entrepreneurs in the different areas of sustainable consumption and production.”
